Ritchie D4410

Ritchie was abandoned at a shelter. He is outgoing, social and very people friendly. Loves to give kisses. Untrained, jumps up to people (shelter doesn't walk their dogs so he was excited to be out of his cage), soft mouth for treats, almost sits for treats and confident. No tail. He was rescue-only due to dog argument when he was a stray and another stray dog went at him. No injuries. With our volunteers, he met several dogs at the shelter, both on leash and off and did fine with both male and female dogs. We are not sure if he played with dogs in their play-yard off leash. Shelter never informed us. He did great with our volunteer transporter for walk and car ride. Did fine at our vet office for exam and handling.

Ritchie is doing well at his hero foster home and their female corgi dog but they don't play.  Good on walks together.  Loves his meals, treats and going for a long walk.  Loves having someone home and must have attached yard.  Ritchie is confident and can be dog selective/dominate to some dogs.  He will not back down to large dogs or any dog that rush at him.  So no dog parks or doggie day care.  He did well at our dog showcase the first time, but 2nd time, he was barky (dog reactive thru dog pen).  Likes to lounge on sofa with his foster parents and their dog. Ritchie will need dog-experienced home. Teen kids are fine, but no young kids.  He needs training classes with his guardian.  He is active and needs daily walks/exercise.  Ritchie will do best as the only dog or another dog at home that he likes & not pushed by.

**Note: Adoption in SF Bay Area Only**
