We rescued Sammy in 2017 from an over-crowded Bay Area shelter. Sammy is friendly, loves gentle attention, and takes treats gently. He has very expressive ears and beautiful tail feathers. Sweet Sammy seems like one of those boys that would follow you everywhere! He is very polite and especially loves having another playful dog in the home. He is a love.

Sammy was adopted to a local, loving home in Aug. 2017. He was a very happy, well-adjusted dog here in California. He has always been great with other dogs. Unfortunately, his loving owners had to move to Texas and Sammy was returned. The loud Texas thunderstorms and constant neighborhood construction noises made him fearful.

Update: He is now doing much better in his local Bay Area foster home. Loud noises/the delivery truck/bicycles can be a distraction but Sammy listens to correction and settles. He truly wants to please.

Sammy would be happiest with another playful dog, unless the home can exercise him and take him out for dog socials. He is well-behaved for car rides and on leash at our showcases. Sammy wants to bond to a person and will be your best friend!

Adult home. Kids 12 yrs+. He is doing great at his local foster home and is a sweetie! Sammy is patiently waiting for that loving Bay Area home with a yard. No apartments.
