Darling Duke came to Furry Friend Rescue from the Oakland Shelter on Dec. 21,2005. He was adopted in Jan. 2006, but was returned on 1/2010 due to young grandchild coming over for visits, and Duke is fearful of young kids. Duke is very friendly and loves his walks. Great little doggy who loves his toys. Great with his dog buddy at home. Will empty the toy box-taking one toy at a time, pile them all up and then lay down with his head on his toys. Just adorable! He needs a quiet adult home. Kids 12 years +. He loves to be your best friend and snuggle. His best friend at the foster home he is in now is a cat. Update on Duke: 2/14/10 2/17/10: Duke has a herniated disc and a tumor on his kidney. We are now awaiting results of his TruCut Biopsy of the tumor for cancer. Meanwhile, he has shown improvement today and started to walk again. So he is now back home with his foster home to relax & hopefully recover til possible surgeries. Unfortunately, the biopsy shows the tumor is cancer on his kidney. He is doing well and walking again so his spinal disc is healing. He will now be a FFR Sanctuary Dog.
