This Animal is PENDING ADOPTION.
Cooper was rescued on 5/15/12 from a local shelter (Santa Clara). We met him on Mother's day at the shelter. He was dirty, horribly matted and in desperate need of some TLC. He was really excited to get out of his kennel but calmed down after a few minutes in the shelter visiting area. He responded to correction and quickly sat when we told him to.
Foster home update: He tolerated the shave down great. He was matted right to his skin all over his body. He is half the size now. He had fox tails and burrs caught up in all the matts. Poor guy. Cooper will need a home with a yard because he is fairly active so needs a yard to play in even after his daily walks. LOVES to play fetch! After about 3 weeks in his foster home he's settled nicely. He plays great with the other dogs in his foster home. He seems to really crave human attention. Just needs to learn not to jump quite so much... no young kids for Cooper as he can knock them over.
